Learning is their journey. Let them navigate. Push them to explore. Watch them discover. Encourage their questions. Allow them to struggle. Support their thinking. Let them fly! (Anonymous)
Hello to all of my new students and their families! I am looking forward to an exciting year full of making friends and lots and lots of learning!
Let me tell you a little about me! I live in Clayton, NY. I absolutely love to read in my spare time! Cooking is also a favorite pastime of mine - I love experimenting with different foods and spices! I am also a big sports fan and especially enjoy watching NHRA drag racing and football (Go Bills! ) To unwind, I also watch the many birds (especially the cardinals), rabbits, foxes, ground hogs, and other wild critters in my backyard!
I have three children, Ryan, Nick, and Paige. They are all grown and starting exciting lives of their own!!
I have worked very hard to become an educator! I have an associate's degree in early childhood education, a bachelor's degree in psychology, and a master's degree in preschool-grade 6 education. I have also taken several graduate special education courses. During the school year, and all summer long, I am involved in professional development workshops that are offered through our district. I take my profession very seriously, and I will do everything I can to make this a successful year for your child.
As parents of my students, you will be my greatest resource! I have an open-door policy, and it is my hope that we will be very comfortable working together. I have found that when children see their parents and teacher communicating regularly, the children do better academically, and also tend to be more responsible for their behavior.
Please feel free to call me at (315)642-3432, send me an email at: jeannemontroy@ircsd.org, or send me a message on Parent Square. You can also send a note in with your child, and I will respond that same day.
I am very excited to start the new school year - I have so many ideas and plans for a successful 2024-2025 school year for your child!
