In kindergarten, we use a continuum chart to track classroom behavior. (See image on lower left.)  Every morning, each student will have a clip with his/her name on it,  placed in the middle of the chart, on "Ready To Learn."  As a student uses manners and makes good choices, following the rules posted to the left,  his/her clip will be moved upwards towards "Outstanding." If a student is having trouble making good choices, his/her clip will move down, to "Think About It," then "Make Better Choices,"  and finally "Parent Contact.."  As the student's behavior improves, his/her clip will move upwards again!  After we have been practicing our rules for a few weeks, each student will bring home a picture of the spot on the chart he/she ended on for that day.  The picture will be in his/her folder, with velcro.  Please leave the picture in the folder, and return the folder everyday!  

*In the event of a more serious issue, such as hitting or using inappropriate language, that student will be immediately referred to the principal's office.
