Dear Families,

I am so excited to begin our year together. For the next school year, we will be partners, a team, in your child’s education.

I want you to know that I am a mom, too. I know how scary it can be to give your babies to someone you do not know, for eight hours a day, hoping and trusting that they will love them like you do. I promise to do my very best to love them, nurture them, teach them. From the first day that I see my class list, until forever, I will be here to do anything I can to help you and your child in any way that I can. The first time I read their names, they become my babies, as well as yours.

As their teacher, I promise you that I will always be in one of 3 places:

• In front of them to cheer them on,

• behind them to have their back,

• next to them to so they aren't walking alone.

I cannot wait to see their personalities unfold, learn all of their favorites, and watch them become brilliant little second graders!
