In our classroom, we are a family. As a family, we will have good and bad days. But we will treat all family members and their property with caring respect. Students in our family will take risks and learn from their mistakes. When mistakes are made they will be addressed with privacy and respect. Students will come to school ready to learn and always try their best while celebrating each other’s successes.
If we need a gentle reminder, I may employ a redirection, teaching intervention, letter of apology, loss of privilege or a student-teacher conference. Students will reflect on their behavior and make changes when necessary. If necessary, I will reach out to you for support and collaboration on a strategy that will work with your child.
