Letter sorting activities

Sort magnetic letters into groups by:

• Color
• Consonants/Vowels (which will be difficult for a pre-K or K students because most of them do not know those terms
• Straight lines/Slant Lines: t,h,l,i x,k,y,z
• Upper/lower case
• Tails/ no tails: a.o,u g,p,j
• Circles/ no circles: o,a,c,e t,k,l,f
• Tunnels/no tunnels: n,m,h s,z,w
• Long stick/short stick: h,l,k,t a,r,n,m
• Tall/Short: h,b,t,k o,e,r,n,s
• Dots/no dots: j,i o,p,u
• Same Lower case/upper case match: Cc, Oo, Ss, Uu, Vv, Ww, Xx
• Different lower case/upper case match: Aa, Bb, Dd, Ee etc.
• Different fonts of the same letter
