What is Chorus?
Chorus is a ensemble that focuses on singing and collaborating to make music with others.
How often does 7th and 8th Grade Chorus rehearse?
7th and 8th grade choruses meet for rehearsals every other day for 43-minutes at a time. Rehearsals are held in the Middle School Chorus room. There are currently two sections of approximately forty-five to fifty students each who join together for dress rehearsals and performances.
What if I am in another ensemble?
Yes, you can be in both band and chorus or orchestra and chorus! Plenty of Middle School musicians choose to participate in multiple ensembles and students find being in multiple ensembles makes them stronger, more well-rounded musicians.
What if I've never sung in Chorus before?
Middle School is the perfect time to try something new! Never read music before? Only sing in the shower? You will fit right in! All ability levels are welcome and encouraged to participate in Chorus.
Performances and Concerts
Chorus performs in approximately 2-3 concerts each school year. Pop-up performances occur throughout the year and have included features at Veteran's Day and caroling at Senior Homes. Chorus students in ACE and BDF sections typically join together to perform as one ensemble for performances.
