The world today is far more connected than it has ever been before. Due to technological advancements over the last 100 years, we are each connected to the entire world at any given moment in a day. For all of us, globalization plays an extremely important role in how we live our lives. Without a connection to the greater world, we may not have the resources we have available to us today. Globalization is a massive concept that has existed for much longer than any of us have even realized. In this section of the unit, you will be learning about what globalization is and how it impacts you.
To begin this section of our unit, we must first define globalization. Your task is to research various sources provided (along with 1-2 others of your choice) to create a working definition of globalization. This definition will not only provide a statement of what globalization is, it will also include examples demonstrating examples of globalization along with an explanation. Use the resources to jump-start your definition and research other sources to create a working definition of globalization.

1) Globalization, as you learned in part 1, has existed for a very long time even though it was not on the same scale as it is today. You will be diving into the history of globalization and analyzing how it has changed over time.
Using the article above, create a chart/graphic/image that explains how globalization evolved over time. Include any examples that you believe demonstrate how globalization began and changed to increase the connectedness of the world. Be as creative as you would like.

Global issues are straightforward: they are problems that impact the world. Global issues have existed in a variety of different ways over time. Today, we face a multitude of issues that impact the world in different ways. Though an issue may be deemed global, we may not realize the immediate impact of each. You are going to learn about a variety of issues that impact the world in this section.
Using this resource, you are going to create a video on Flipgrid that will appeal to the world. You will select one of the issues listed on the UN Website and create an action video meant to inspire others to help fix the issue. Think of this as a video you would see on Social Media asking for people to help with the issue you chose. Whatever issue it is you choose, you must include the following items:

What is your plan to inspire others to help?
