In this unit, you learned about how the world has opened up to create a larger connectedness that the world has never experienced before. Globalization is the interconnectedness of countries politically, economically, and culturally. Though the definition appears simple, it has complex and far-reaching implications that impact individual human beings throughout the world.
As this unit winds down, think of how globalization has impacted the world and ask yourself this question: can countries around the world continue to interact in the ways they do today? Furthermore, think of if the current structure of global economics, global politics, global populations, and cultures can sustain the way in which countries interact with each other.
Students will construct an argument with a claim that addresses the compelling question - Is globalization sustainable? - using evidence from sources examined throughout the unit. Students can record a short audio/video response to the compelling question (Google Slides, essay, WeVideo, Podcast, etc.), create an Infographic using Canva, or whatever else you choose.
If you choose to make a video, only make one through one of the tools provided through our single sign on page.
Before creating your final product, please complete the graphic organizer (this will be a graded component). At a minimum, your final product should reflect the ideas and evidence present in your organizer. Your final product can go beyond what you have completed on the organizer to demonstrate an understanding of the question and the unit.
