Long Term Cognitive

***Please note, the long term cognitive option is only available for Metea and Waubonsie High Schools***

Long term medical alternatives are assigned to students by Physical Education Department Chair and a student's counselor. This alternative is for students who will be out of the Physical Education program for at least one quarter. So, students who will be out for a quarter, semester or entire school year, may be assigned to this curriculum.

The goal of this curriculum is to have each student be able to reflect on their personal wellness and potentially discover physical activities that may help them maintain their health. The curriculum follows a sequence of self discovery and teaches facts relating to wellness that will help the student grow and be able to receive a grade in Physical Education in an alternative approach.

Each week will have five tasks to achieve. The suggested method is that only one task be completed daily in order to properly reflect on material for the next day. All finished work is due by Saturday night of the week it is assigned and should be emailed directly to your classroom teacher.

Week One - Self Discovery

Week Three - personal application
