Mystery Readers!

The Mystery Reader Program is an opportunity for family members to come into the classroom and read to the students. The fun part is, the weekly reader is a mystery to the students until Friday. Once you have signed-up and have your date, I will contact you the weekend before to get your clues. Feel free to have other family members get into the act- aunts, uncles, grandmas and grandpas, all exciting readers are welcome!

I will need 5 clues from the reader. I will reveal one clue a day each morning, so the students can think about who it is all week. Give me 5 clues that are unique to you, but not too obvious to your student. They can be things you like, things you don't like, places you have been, favorite foods, restaurants, color, activity, etc. I really want the kids to be surprised so make sure you don't tell!

Readers are welcome to bring an appropriate picture book of your own or I can select one for you. Let me know what book you choose so I can make sure we haven't already read it in class. When you come, make sure you stand so the students can't see you through the doorway. I will open the door and come get you when we are ready for you! It's so exciting, the kids can't wait to see who it is.
