Current Events

Current Events take place every Friday! Students are responsible for knowing when their assigned news team date is and their role for Current Events. Students will be assessed on the Speaking ability including their volume level and clarity, expression and enthusiasm, evidence of practice outside of school and eye contact. They also will be assessed on their Listening skills while their teammates present.

Students must turn in evidence of preparation outside of school, they will not be able to come up with their report off of the top of their heads. This should be a written document of at least five sentences in length. The students may turn in notecards, a handwritten page or typed document. If your children would like to incorporate a multimedia piece to their presentation, that would be great as well!
