This site will allow you to investigate artifacts that I have developed through my continuing education with a focus on technology. I hope these artifacts demonstrate to the reader my passion for mathematics, teaching, and leadership while I learn how to incorporate technology into all three.
My Professional History:
I earned my undergraduate degree in secondary mathematics education from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. After graduating I became a math teacher in 2002. I have worked in the same district my entire career. During those first years as a math teacher I also attended graduate school at Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Illinois where I earned my degree in Educational Leadership. After 5 years of teaching I moved schools to become the math department assistant to the current math department chairman at Waubonsie Valley High School in Aurora, Illinois. After 2 years of being the assistant our chair moved onto opening a new high school and I took over as Math Department Chairman. I have been in this position since 2009. Currently I am furthering my education at the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois.
