Solo & Ensemble Contest

The IGSMA Solo & Ensemble Contest is in February.  It provides students the opportunity to prepare a solo and/or a small ensemble for a judge in a contest setting.  The permission slip to sign-up for Solo and Ensemble is in Google Classroom and is available in November.

1. Click HERE to sign-up for 2 help sessions with the band teachers if you do not take private lessons.  Help sessions begin in January.  This is for students performing in the Solo and Ensemble contest.  Make sure you write down your help session date/time so you remember to attend.  Wind and brass soloists, will sign-up for a piano rehearsal with Ms. Richards -Here is the piano rehearsal sign-up.

2. Final Reminders for Solo & Ensemble contest & the schedule will be given to all students in paper form in late January.  Extra copies will be in the band room and will be posted in students Google Classroom.
