Beginning in 6th grade, students have the opportunity to join the Indian Prairie School District's GRAMMY Award Music Program by studying one instrument from the woodwind, string, brass or percussion families in addition to being able to sing in choir.

This journey begins with the Prelude Program presented in 5th grade music classes.  Students will learn about each instrument, listen to each instrument, hold each instrument and journal on all the instruments to help them decide which instrument they enjoy the sound of the best and would like to play.
