Mrs. Heidi Rogers graduated from DePaul University in 1997 with a Bachelor`s Degree in Music Education. She has studied clarinet performance under Chicago Symphony members Larry Combs (retired) and John Bruce Yeh and has performed in numerous orchestras and concert bands in the Chicagoland area. Mrs. Rogers received a Master of Music Education degree from VanderCook College of Music in 2004. She was the recipient of the Barbara Buehlman Young Conductor Award in 2008. She was a guest conductor for the District 9 IMEA Jr. High Jazz Festival in 2009. Mrs. Rogers has taught music in District 204 since 1997 and enjoys teaching her students and helping them grow as musicians.
Mrs. Megan LoPresto attended college on a four year talent tuition waiver (trumpet) awarded by Northern Illinois University where she graduated in 1996. After college, she spent a year as an editorial assistant at The Instrumentalist (a music education magazine) before beginning her career as a music educator in Elgin School District U-46. In 1999, a position at Hill Middle School (where she attended 7th grade!) opened up and she was hired. Since then, Mrs. LoPresto earned her Master of Music Education degree from VanderCook College of Music in 2002 and has also become endorsed as a middle school Spanish teacher in 2011.
