Dear 2S Friends,

I am really glad you are in my class this year.  I am very excited that I am your second grade teacher!  We are going to have a lot of fun getting to know each other this year. I want you to know all about me!

• I was born in California, now I live in Geneva, IL.

• Chris Shreve is my husband. He loves sports, history and reading.

• We have one daughter. Hannah is going off to college this year!  

• I am the oldest of three children. I have one brother and one sister. 

• I love to ride my bike, garden, read, play pickleball and tennis with Hannah. 

• I love flowers, especially orchids, hydrangeas and tulips.

• I can still do cartwheels!

• I enjoy traveling to the ocean and the mountains. I have seen a lot of amazing animals on trips. I love animals!

• My favorite food is fruit, especially blueberries! I don’t like the smell of fish. I wish I did because fish is so good for you.

• I love Google because I don’t know everything☺, and I have an inquiring mind.  I love to look for answers. I learn new things every day!

• In college I managed a gym, and I think being healthy is very important.

• I earned a B.A. in English and Education and a M.A. in Education/Reading. I also have 60 + credit hours of additional coursework in a variety of areas including gifted education, brain research, differentiation, and technology.

• This is my 31styear of teaching (K,1,2,3,4 and Reading Specialist K-5). Twenty-five of those years have been at Brooks! Woohoo!

• If I wasn’t a teacher I would have been a marine biologist, an interior decorator, or a physical therapist. I am glad I am a teacher though!
