Welcome to 2ST!

My name is Wendy Stanley, and I am happy to have been a member of the Brooks family for the past eleven years. This year begins my 23rd year teaching.  I have previously taught kindergarten and first grade, and am looking forward to another great year in second grade. I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of St. Francis and later continued my education, receiving a Master's Degree in Reading and Literacy from Benedictine University.  I live in Yorkville with my husband, Tim, our son, Jacob (10), daughter, Cecelia (5), and our three pets.  At home, I love spending time with my little ones and watching them learn and grow.  I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year and can't wait to do the same with them!
