How did CSS Start?

Collaborative Student Success bloomed out of  the collaboration between Educators, IPoly Alumnus, and IPoly Students.

IPoly's Education Specialist, Serena Manjur, wanted to create a more inclusive environment where all students could be feel empowered as leaders while also feeling comfortable communicate needs and receive support services.Sandra Hernandez, IPoly's former Writing Coach, wanted to create a space where students could study, tutor, get help, and learn from each other. Ms. Hernandez, with the support of IPoly Class of 2019 alumnus Sergio Santamaria first launched IPoly's Tutoring Program in Fall of 2019.

Their visions intertwined to create the foundations for Collaborative Student Success. CSS came into being on May 29th, 2020 in a virtual meeting between Serena Manjur, Sergio Santamaria, Joshua Abonal, Steven Lwe, and Toni Martin.
