Paul Stock

Paul has over 30 years of experience of working in various educational settings. He taught history, humanities, geography and RE in secondary schools across South Wales before becoming Head teacher in his final school.
During his teaching career Paul was Chair of Examiners for GCSE Humanities at the WJEC and an HLTA Assessor for the South East Wales Consortium. After leaving teaching, Paul took up a role as Education Lead for Wales for SSAT – leading Leadership development programmes for school leaders across Wales.
He also led school to school reviews in London and numerous training sessions for the British Council’s Connecting Classrooms programme. Paul was also a member of the management panel responsible for leading the Global Learning Programme in Wales and delivering the Lead Practitioner accreditation in Wales and England.
Paul has developed an extensive network of contacts in many schools across Wales and is currently a Vice Chair of Governors at a local primary school. Paul joined International Links Global in 2019 and his current role with ILG is predominantly dealing with financial aspects of programmes and projects. In September 2023 he took on the role of Acting Head of Strategic Development.
Amanda Morgan

Amanda is a law graduate and MSc in Comparative Political Economy with over 16 years’ experience in international collaboration. Working within Cardiff Council’s European and International team for 13 years, Amanda performed a wide variety of roles including bid writing, coordinating transnational projects and supporting Cardiff’s formal civic twinning arrangements and wider city networks.
In 2018 Amanda joined the Council’s International School Linking team wherein she was responsible for delivering Erasmus+ Schools projects. During her time with ISL, Amanda has organised numerous overseas visits for teaching staff and pupils working closely with a global network of educators equally motivated about transnational collaboration.
In response to travel restrictions caused by the pandemic, Amanda helped establish the Digital Innovative Learning in Schools (DILiS) network as a way of enabling schools to keep engaged in international working – and remains passionate about developing online methods of interaction between schools.
During her role as Taith Sector Organisation Body for schools, a project which ran from March 2022 to September 2023, Amanda provided advice and support to schools across Wales that were interested in applying for opportunities under Wales’ international exchange programme, Taith.
Since September 2023, Amanda has been managing overseas visits within ILG's Taith Pathway 1 projects involving a range of schools and countries, including the US, Spain, Denmark and France.
Ruben Chapela-Orri

Rubén has been working as a language teacher at Bangor University and in secondary schools in north Wales for more than 15 years.
His roles in HE have also involved Training in Languages and Translation Project Tutor Coordinator, Routes Cymru Coordinator, MFL Student Mentoring School Lead and Cardiff Council's International School Linking Officer in north Wales. Through these roles, he has been actively organising and participating in training events and conferences for teachers, students and the wider community, as well as arranging, delivering and coordinating Erasmus+ and CCGL projects for primary and secondary schools.
Rubén’s role in International Links Global involves international support for network schools across Wales, application writing, project coordination (Taith & Turing funding), and linking Welsh schools with the world while focusing on the purposes of Curriculum for Wales.
James Patrick

James has had a career in Education for over 10 years, beginning as a Learning Support Assistant and quickly progressing Classroom Teacher in Additional Learning Needs settings.
His expertise in Expressive Arts and Inclusivity has allowed him to participate in a wide range of projects in the private and public sector, along with delivery of training programmes and consultancy to inform organisations of current best practices. James joined ILG in 2022 as a Project Manager to facilitate a range of international education projects using Taith, Turing and Erasmus+ funding.
His role is to oversee project delivery and maintain excellent links with schools in Wales and our International partners.
