The vulnerability of the Aiguamolls de l'Empordà to climate change
The Aiguamolls de l'Empordà are the second most important wetland area in Catalonia, and were the first natural protected area on the Costa Brava. A participatory study on vulnerability and adaptation to climate change reveals the concern of the people interviewed about the effects of climate change that most affect the area observed, such as the increase in air temperature, changes in rainfall and the rise in sea level. Likewise, more than half consider it necessary to adapt to climate change.
