Monday, 15/5/2023 Pupils engaged in an ice-breaking activity around the Day of Saint George to exchange virtual books and roses in a Padlet. Then, the Stop-Motion workshop captured pupils' imaginations and creative abilities. Meanwhile, teachers had their own meeting with the school deputies, discussing various matters and sharing insights. A concert, showcasing the talents of the students, welcomed the week. Then the group departed for the City Hall, to meet the City Major and councilors.
Tuesday, 16/5/2023 The group departed to Sitges, a charming, artistic coastal town where the local legend takes place (Mermaid Falconera’s Treasure explaining the intricate cliffs and thermal streams of Garraf coast). Engaging in a Mermaid's Treasure Hunt in Baluard, the students sought hidden treasures and clues, immersing themselves in a captivating learning experience taking advantage of Santiago Rusiñol's palace gorgeous decorations. A short trip to Tarragona discovered the city’s Roman remains and local legends.
Wednesday, 17/5/2023 The group arrived at Poble Espanyol, where an immersive guided visit offered insights into the rich cultural heritage and architectural wonders of the place: "Chasing Ghosts of Poble Espanyol". Throughout the morning, the group delved into the mysteries and legends of Poble Espanyol, immersing themselves in the history and atmosphere of the place. In the late afternoon, the group departed for Barcelona's old town, to admire the architectural wonders and vibrant atmosphere that defines Barcelona.
Thursday, 18/5/2023 The group arrived in Figueres to visit the Teatre-Museu Dalí, to explore storytelling and the surrealist world created by the iconic artist Salvador Dalí. A educational guided visit allowed everyone to appreciate the masterpieces and immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the museum, where is needed to find each visitor's path and find a unique storytelling. Next, the group departed for Calella de Mar, a picturesque coastal town known for its historical significance and fisherman's old tales.
Friday, 19/5/2023 Friday was dedicated to finish the Stop-Motion films, now inspired and enriched by the precedent visits and experiences. Pupils were divided into two groups. Five student workshop leaders took charge of facilitating the Stop-Motion workshop, to produce animated narratives. Meanwhile, teachers proceeded with an evaluation session, reflecting on the entire week of activities and its impact. While students were working in the workshop, teachers also engaged in classroom observations. Certificates were delivered in evening, previously to the the European party, filled with music, cherishing the friendships forged and the collective achievements realized throughout the project. Local folk groups performed the Devil’s Dance and Human Towers, as a closure of Mythomania learning activities with pupils.
