Learning activities
Delegations performed activities of high educational value in different places of natural and cultural interest. Polish delegation traveled by bus.
19/09/2022 MONDAY Delegations were welcomed by Mahtra Pohikool headmaster, Mr Rodchenko, in an official celebration in the school's hall. Students attended lessons with their hosting partners while teachers observed classroom performance, learning from their Estonian colleagues how to integrate tradicional and digitally supported teaching strategies in different subjects and school levels. While teachers were exchanging experiences and information about the lessons observed, students had ice-breaking activities to get to know each other. Later, they performed learning activities related to layout, script and plasticine figure making of the film in a workshop led by Estonian teachers. Visitor teachers had the opportunity to share the teaching experience with their fellows, and to exchange good practice alltogether. Students used mobiles as unique tool, and the platform to record the filmlet was InShot.
20/09/2022 TUESDAY Teachers and students attended a workshop in The Viking Village, an open Air museum close to Saula Blue Springs, a site of natural interest where several legends explain natural phenomena like geysers, considered as sacred by vikings. The workshop was led by certified trainers. It consisted in viking rune charm making, giving context to existing legends.
21/09/2022 WEDNESDAY Students continued the filmlet making workshop until lunch break, and then they continued the visit Tallinn's Old Town, first by a guided tour that gave context to the visit, and later by following an augmented reality Game consisting in questions and answers related to the several existing Tallinn's Legends like the Devil's Wedding and Rataskaevu Well. The platform used for the augmented reality game was LoQuizz App.
22/09/2022 THURSDAY Delegations attended a workshop about castles and Legends in the Rakvere Castle, an open Air museum displaying information about Estonian History. Then they visites Rakvere Old Town.
23/09/2022 FRIDAY Students and teachers finished the filmlet and introduced results on stage in public. It took place later a farewell cerimony where everyone learned traditional Estonian dance performance and got attendance certificates. After that, teachers held an evaluation meeting and also fine tuned proposals of next meetings dates.
