By using samples and bits from musician; Harry Coade I was able to experiment, tweak, and play with different aspects of music. The main three points in music are power drive and energy, by using these three I am able to change the beat as a whole depending on mood. In a remix you can master the sound to be whatever you like and this remix came out amazing.

Here are multiple drum beats i created by using the 808 drum beats in Ableton Live from different sounds
Dr Who?
During this assignment, experimenting with the Dr Who soundtrack, i was able to explore the different sounds and effects of Ableton live. Assigning different sounds and instrument to each midi track allowed me to change the mood and energy of the track as a whole. I also included sounds from the Tartus from within the show Dr Who, as sound effects and noises from the show can improve the atmospheric feel.
From this project i learned how to use midi tracks and assign instruments and sounds to different parts, which i can transfer to other projects i am working on. Along with that i learned how to use things like flange and panning in order to create a whimsical sound within each part and to bring interesting aspects to the music.
Actually good Bop
What i did: In this project I used several movie clips that i love from several websites including; fesliyanstudios.com movie-sounds.org and moviesoundclips.net. Movies clips include, Rush hour, Goodfellas, Reservoir dogs and Pulp Fiction. With this i sampled a drum track in order to lay down the base, panning it right and putting my bass line on the left. During the song I spliced together the different movie clips to form sentences and interesting sounds portraying a story along the way.
What i learned: From this project; i learned how to de-quantize different tracks that i want to pop in at different intervals, how to acquire free movie sound clips for music and how to put all of these different aspects of my song together. i also learned now that my computer does infact have a back button after struggling to find one after messing everything up. I have also now learned how to export songs in wav. file form and use them outside of just remaining as files on the computer.
Blind Man Driving Mix
What I did:In this project I played around with and altered "Blind Man Driving" by Joey Stucky. I used Ableton live in order to change different aspects of the music such as the compression, panning and limits of each soundtrack. This was in order to create a pleasant listening experience without causing headache.
What I learned: I learned how to change the limits of seperate tracks in a song to alter the overall pitch. I also learned when and where you should use compression in a song. Using these features ontop of past things i knew how to do also took a little time as I had to balance it all but in the end i think it all came out fine.
