Deftones: Diamond Eyes
Deftones was one of the first Nu-metal slash Shoegaze bands i ever started listening to and it was because of teh wonderful vocals and powerful riifs by Chino Moreno and the ethereal feel just makes it so much better.
Nirvana: In Utero
Nirvanas In Utero was one of the first albums i came into contact with when i started to fall in love with music. The poetic lyrics with the grungy aspects of the guitar and bass helped me realize theres other music than radio music as a kid.
Carpenter Brut: Trilogy
I first came into contact with dark synth when i started playing the videogame series Hotline Miami. When i first played the game i was greeted with this intense adrenaline jockey music that i instantly fell in love with during gameplay. I actually also got to go to his concert at the Filmore in Silver Spring in 2022.
Alice in Chains: Jar of flies
I first found out about Alice In Chains when i was talking to one of my brothers friends who also played guitar. When he kept talking about this band i was really curious because the riffs he was playing from their band sounded so gnarly and unique within the genre. So when i did eventually listen to them i became obsessed with their releases.
Duster: Stratosphere
Dusters music is one of my lesser listened to but still really really good. Their melancholy slow music creates a wonderful sense of comfort whenever your tired or in a bad mood. the slow guitar and simple lyrics also really just take it home for me.
Rob Scallon: Anchor
Anchor to me is really just one of those albums in the back of the record store that no one has ever heard of but genuinely should. Rob Scallon is a lesser known musician than a youtuber however this album in my opinion is top ten of all time. The multiple layers of guitar carefully stacked upon eachother make beautiful relaxing songs for any occasion.
