Come on out to view the beautiful Alta Vista Botanical Gardens. We will be led on an 1 ½ hour guided tour of the 14-acre Gardens. Plus, you will receive an introduction to photography class! Lantern Crest Senior Living, 800 Lantern Crest Way, Santee
Want to use your talent to bring joy to others? Audition would have already been held to perform at our Lantern Crest Senior Living center in Santee. Students who had attended auditions and were accepted/approved to perform are expected to attend here at the this event as a practice/rehearsal. Student talent performances can include: instruments, voice, acting, reciting, dance, magic, comedy, etc. Practice will be held on February 13th from 12-1pm. The actual performance date will be Friday, February 28th from 1:00-3:45 followed by the playing of games with the seniors. Come on out to a fun and rewarding time! We are teaming up with Rewild Mission Bay to support a restoration project for the California Least Tern, an endangered species that nests in very limited areas of Mission Bay. Students will learn about this fragile ecosystem while providing essential hands-on habitat restoration. They will meet with a Rewild Mission Bay Naturalist, learn about this specialized science field and will have the opportunity to become educational stewards. Examine the use of natural resources for energy and the impacts of human activities. Students investigate alternative energy sources and engineer solutions for the energy needs of a growing world.
The lab is for students in Middle/High School students only, thank you!
Elementary aged children may tour the aquarium for the general admission fee of $15.00.
