Denise LaMarra is Director of the Standardized Patient (SP) Program at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, a position she has held since 2006. She oversees all aspects of SP programming for students, house staff and faculty, nurses and other professionals. She previously served as Vice President of Operations for the Association of SP Educators (ASPE) and is currently co-chair of the ASPE Special Interest Group, SPs Beyond Healthcare: Expanding Simulation Possibilities (ESP). She is a member of the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH), a member of the AIM IPE Council, and a certified health simulation educator (CHSE).
