A 5-week hands-on course where participants learn to design, build, and facilitate immersive virtual escape rooms for educational and training purposes.
Key points:
The course combines live Zoom workshops with self-paced online modules.
Participants learn about gamification, instructional design, storytelling, simulation, learner engagement, AI tools, and interactive technology.
Learners create their own playable educational virtual escape room using tools like AI-assisted design platforms, website builders, web apps, and digital puzzles.
The course is relevant for people in healthcare, education, business, workforce development, and community training.
By the end, participants will have built a complete functional escape room, integrated interactive technologies, applied teaching and simulation best practices, and created reusable educational assets.

The AIM IPE Council provides strategic leadership for virtual interprofessional education and practice (IPEP) projects, pilots, and courses through the Inspirational by Design® platform.
It oversees curriculum design, implementation, and continuous improvement to ensure alignment with national interprofessional competencies and best practices in simulation-based education.
The council supports collaborative communication, empathy, role clarity, patient-centered care, and team-based problem solving.
It also guides scholarly work, including research, publications, grants, and IRB compliance, while promoting innovation, learner outcome evaluation, inclusion, sustainability, and improved patient outcomes.
