Role Model: A hero that inspires you

Example of a role model description

A2-B1 LEVEL

A role model for me is my little brother. His name is Joan. He is 11 years old and he's in 6th year in primary school in our town.

He has a physical disability. He loves playing sports and doesn't like to be quiet at home. His favourite moment of the day is when he walks our dog out, Piga. They are close friends and they always sleep together. My brother didn't speak well when he was little and had to learn with speech therapy, but now he communicates better and is more confident. He is courageous, brave and cheerful, even though he sometimes feels exhausted. Plus, he is always smiling and lifting everyone's spirits.

I look up to him and he is my hero because he fights everyday to have an ordinary life although he struggles more than most people.

B2 LEVEL

My role model is my younger brother, Joan, who is eleven years old and currently in his sixth year of primary school in our hometown.

Joan lives with a physical disability, yet his enthusiasm for sports is remarkable; he prefers active pursuits over staying idle at home. His most cherished time of the day is when he takes our dog, Piga, for a walk. Their bond is strong, evidenced by their inseparable companionship and shared sleeping space. Despite initial challenges in speech during his early years, requiring intervention through speech therapy, Joan has made significant strides in communication, enhancing his self-confidence. He embodies courage, bravery, and a cheerful disposition, consistently maintaining a positive attitude even in the face of fatigue. His constant smile and uplifting presence have a profound impact on those around him.

Joan's daily life is an inspiring journey. He faces greater challenges than most, yet his determination to lead a normal life is admirable. I deeply respect and admire him; he is my hero, demonstrating the true essence of resilience and perseverance.
