The Waiting Room: When Your Time Hasn’t Come Yet

Lately, it feels like I’ve been watching people move.
New positions. Public recognition. Dream vacations. Dream cars. Dream jobs.
Doors opening. Blessings flowing. Visibility rising. Movement…everywhere.
And if I’m honest? It makes it feel like I’m the only one still stuck.
Still sitting in a place I’ve prayed to leave.
Still showing up every day, holding on to hope with tired hands.
Still wondering when it will be my turn.
But deep down, I know something that keeps me grounded—Even when I don’t always feel it.
I can’t compare my journey to anyone else’s. What’s for them is for them.
And what’s for me is still on the way—Unfolding in divine timing.
The Ache of Watching Others Move
There’s a unique ache that comes from watching the people around you receive what you’ve been waiting on.
You want to celebrate with them—and you do. But somewhere behind the smiles and claps is a quiet ache whispering:
“I’ve been faithful too.”
“I’ve been preparing too.”
“I’ve been ready.”
And still…the shift hasn’t come.
It’s not envy. It’s not bitterness. It’s the human ache of delay—especially when you know you’ve done the inner work, the heart work, the healing.
Welcome to the Waiting Room
It took me a while to name it, but that’s where I am: I’m in the waiting room.
That sacred, stretching, soul-refining space between the planting and the harvest. Between the vision and the visibility. Between being ready and being released.
The waiting room is uncomfortable.
You don’t get to choose the pace.
You don’t get to rush the process.
But here’s what I’m learning: The waiting room is not a punishment. It’s preparation.
Growth Doesn’t Stop in the Stillness
Even when it feels like nothing is moving, you are still becoming.
You are still deepening.
You are still developing.
You are still being positioned for purpose.
Every unseen effort, every tear that no one witnessed, every “yes” you whispered when you could’ve walked away— it counts.
You are not late.
You are not behind.
You are not forgotten.
You are in progress. And when your time comes, you won’t have to force it. You’ll flow.
A Gentle Reminder
If you’re in the waiting room too, I want to remind you:
Don’t measure your worth by someone else’s wins.
Don’t let delay make you doubt your destiny.
Don’t lose hope because of someone else’s highlight reel.
Your time is not past, it’s just preparation.
You’re not stuck; you’re being set up.
