I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Roger Williams University and a Master of Science in Psychology from Southern Connecticut State University. After my academic training, I completed post-graduate clinical work at Yale–New Haven Psychiatric Hospital and became professionally licensed as a clinical mental health counselor in 2013. Since then, I have worked across the spectrum of behavioral healthcare. My experience in inpatient, crisis intervention, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient settings has honed my clinical skills and shaped my approach. Beginning my career in an intensive inpatient setting provided an exceptional learning environment, allowing me to gain insight into both the extremities of illness and the potential for recovery.
After five years at Yale–New Haven, I transitioned to intensive outpatient care with Hartford Hospital’s Rushford program, focusing primarily on the treatment of addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions. I later served in supervisory and leadership roles in both IOP and outpatient settings before moving into full-time private practice in 2017.
My professional and continuing education interests include silent meditation retreats and ongoing training in contemporary evidence-based practices such as CBT and MBSR. I have also enjoyed teaching graduate and undergraduate courses at Southern Connecticut State University and Gateway Community College.
In addition to running my group practice, Insight Consultation, I currently serve as Chairperson for the Coastal Wellness Collective, where I stay connected with colleagues through peer supervision and by coordinating continuing education events for local professionals.
