It is a nine session lesson aimed to 2nd Secondary students. During these lessons, our students will learn how to use area and volume calculations to create sustainable products.
Mission: Creating a container with the minimum amount of material and low environmental impact.
Session 1: Vocabulary and area and volume calculation.
Session 2: Calculate area and volume.
Session 3: Analysing commercial brand containers. Debate.
Session 4: Building optimal containers.
Session 5: TAG feedback session.
Session 6: Building optimal containers and self-assessment.
Session 7: Presentation of their final product and peer assessment.
Session 8: Presentation of their final product and peer assessment.
Session 9: Work exhibition.
The main objectives of these lessons are:
1. Calculating areas and volumes.
2. Investigating the designing process of the same packaging in different companies and analyze the similarities and differences.
3. Justifying the perfect dimensions and use of materials of packaging.
