INRIM - Istituto Nazionale di Ricerca Metrologica, strada delle Cacce, 91 - 10135, Torino, Italia.
Alessandro Cultrera holds a degree in Physics and a Ph.D. in Materials Sciences from Università degli Studi di Torino, Italy. In 2014, as a post-doc fellow, he joined Istituto Nazionale di Ricerca Metrologica, INRIM – Quantum Metrology and Nano Technologies department, working on the electrical characterisation of nano-structured materials, precision electronic measurements and novel calibration methods.
He worked extensively on the development of electrical resistance tomography as a quantitative technique applied to thin-film and 2D and nano-structured materials, and published about graphene, nanowire networks and transparent conducting oxides. He is also active in the field of the calibration of instrumentation for signal recovery and impedance spectrocopy for metrology and energy storage (supercaps). He has been recently involved in measurements and traceability of electric power in non-sinusoidal distorted regime.
He is member of the European Metrology Network for Clean Energy and participates to the IEC/TC 113 “Nanotechnology for electrotechnical products and systems” for which he is leader of two standardisation projects on electrical characterisation of graphene.
