Who we are

We are a multidisciplinary research team dedicated to monitoring and studying seismic and tsunamigenic processes at the Wolstenholme Fjord, in Greenland. Our mission is to collect high-quality seismic and hydrometric data that support scientific research, risk assessment, and community resilience.

The project brings together researchers and specialists from the Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia and the University of Bologna, combining expertise in seismology, tsunami generation and modelling, and atmospheric sciences. In addition, the team contributes advanced technical know-how in the design, installation, and operation of the monitoring network, ensuring reliable data acquisition and robust transmission systems in the polar environment.
