ISPJについて/What is ISPJ?
International Summer Program in Japan (ISPJ)
日本に興味を持つ世界中の日本語学習者に向けたプログラム。語学学習の要素と、文化、歴史、社会、経済、政治、ビジネスなど日本のさまざまな側面に焦点を当てたテーマ別のオムニバス形式の要素を含むコースです。
このたび、日本研究のコースを履修しながら、海外からのプログラム参加生と共に本プログラムへ参加していただくICU生を募集します。さまざまなテーマ別の講義や学生同士のディスカッション、海外で日本語を学ぶ学生の日本に対する視点、学外へのフィールドトリップ等を通し、日本について学びを深めます。プログラム期間中は、学内寮に海外学生と滞在し、日本にいながら異文化交流を通して留学生活を味わうこともできます（寮の滞在は任意、通常学期中寮生でなくても応募可）。
This program is designed for Japanese learners from around the world who are interested in Japan. Course content includes a) a language study component and b) a thematic, omnibus component that focuses on various aspects of Japan such as culture, history, society, economy, politics, and business.
We are currently looking for ICU students who will participate in this program along with program participants from abroad while taking courses in Japan Studies. Students will deepen their learning about Japan through lectures on various themes, discussions among students, perspectives on Japan from students studying Japanese abroad, and off-campus field trips. During the program, students will stay in the on-campus dormitory with participants from abroad, and will be able to experience campus life like study abroad through cross-cultural exchange while living in Japan (dormitory is optional; students may apply even if they do not live on campus during the regular terms).

STEP 2: 事前オリエンテーション
6月中に、本登録をしたICU生を対象にオリエンテーションを開催します。
適宜、必要な情報をメールで発信するので、ICUメールをチェックしてください。
STEP 2: Pre-Orientation
An orientation will be held during the month of June for ICU students who have signed up for the program.
Please check your ICU email as necessary information will be sent out via email as appropriate.
STEP 3: プログラム初日オリエンテーション
7/4（木）2-3限に、海外参加者と共同で、プログラム初日オリエンテーションを開催します。当日は、キャンパスツアーや集合写真撮影、歓迎会等も実施するので、予定を確保しておいてください。詳しいスケジュールは追って連絡します。
STEP 3: Orientation on the first day of the program
On Thursday, July 4, from 2-3 period, we will hold an orientation on the first day of the program jointly with overseas participants. On the day of the orientation, there will be a campus tour, group photo, welcome party, etc. Please make sure to reserve your schedule. A detailed schedule will be provided in June.
履修する授業/About the course
日本研究メジャーの「日本研究特論（JPS203）（英語開講、3単位）」
授業期間は2024年7月4日-7月25日の4週間、成績評価は2024年度秋学期の科目として付与される（秋学期に授業はありません）。
2024年度秋学期にICUに在籍している学生であれば、参加が可能。
"Special Topics in Japan Studies (JPS203)" of the Japan Studies Major (offered in English, 3 credits)
The course period is 4 weeks from July 4 to July 25, 2024, and grades will be assigned in Autumn term 2024 (there will be no classes in Autumn term).
Any student enrolled at ICU in Autumn term 2024 is eligible to participate.
