1872 Counterfeits

See Longacre's Ledger 19.1 April 2009, pg. 10. The diagnostic marks are a small mark on the cheek and a large mark at the end of the top part of the ribbon by the base of the last feather. This is a "bay area" counterfeit and was likely struck in the 1968-1979 period.
