Engaging in Main Street Conversations
As a community member, engaging with fellow neighbors, small businesses, store fronts, and organizations is an impactful way to share information and grow local awareness about the impact of AI on our communities.
Main Street Conversation Goals:
Share information with local businesses and community members about the impact AI has on your community
Share or post information about AI with local businesses to connect these ideas with owners, employees, and customers–empowering community to take action
Gauge interest and awareness of your local community and grow engagement
Considerations when doing this work:
Bring your friends! Invite a few friends to join you in these Main Street Conversations– together you can cover more ground, and after end with a conversation about your experiences at your favorite park, restaurant, bar, or hang out spot.
The Week of Action is from September 15-21, when choosing a time & date think about what works best for you! Weekdays might mean some businesses have less traffic meaning they'll have more time to have a conversation. Sundays are often days when store owners are not around.

Document your Outreach: Income Movement will provide hosts with a quick survey to gather information about your experience so that we can share the collective impact with the movement - identifying the level of awareness community members have, and the impact our direct actions made.
