AI DISRUPTION IS HERE

In 2025, Income Movement launched our AI Disruption is Here campaign as part of our 2025 Basic Income Week of Action. Our grassroots community led local events to raise awareness and encourage direct action. 

Since then, the discussion around AI has become an urgent and dire fight to put people first and pressure Congress to act. Everyday people are getting left behind from AI's impact on jobs, and the race to build as many data centers as possible are threatening communities and the critical resources we need to survive. 

We will continue to fight for a Universal Basic Income and resist data centers until we see ethical AI frameworks in place that prioritize People over AI.
