Travel to Cagliari
Cagliari is connected with several airports in Italy and Europe.
Information about travelling to Sardinia can be found on the Sardegna Tourism Agency website.
Transports between Cagliari Elmas Airport and the city centre are offered by train (1.30 €) and taxi (30-40 €). More information can be found at the airport website.
Transport within Cagliari
The workshop venue is within walking distance from the train station, the harbour, and most accommodations in Cagliari's historic districts: Marina, Castello, Stampace and Villanova.
Public transport can be used for more distant destinations within town, such as the local Poetto beach (bus lines PF or PQ) or the Molentargius park (same bus lines plus a 15 min walk).
Bus tickets are easier purchased through the CTM BusFinder app, and you will have to scan the QR code when you board a bus. Use Google to schedule your trip, or check out the bus lines map.
Accommodation
The districts of Marina, Castello, Stampace and Villanova in the historic centre of Cagliari offer plenty of accommodation options, which can be found on most travel websites.
Accommodation at the venue location, Hotel Regina Margherita, is available with a 15% discount for reservations made before September 1, 2025, subject to availability. Use code PHISCC2025 on the reservation website.
Cagliari is a famous tourist destination and can get crowded in the warm season. We recommend to plan your trip in advance.
