On June 3rd, 2025, Kula Manu had the opportunity to have a booth at the IMUA Makēkē. The booth sold various items, including earrings, custom glassware, and tote bags made by club members to help fundraise for the club's future trips and activities. Our club members also had the opportunity to converse with the community and our Kamehameha ʻohana about Kula Manu and what we do as a club.
Kula Manu aims to represent the Kamehameha School's E Ola! Learner Outcomes. With the IMUA Makēkē, we showed the E Ola ray Mālama and Kuleana. We demonstrated these values by creating our own products to sell and working the booth for the entirety of the Makēkē.
Bella Amey and Panaʻewa Cayetano, two of Kula Manu's club members, created Hawaiian print and manu-inspired earrings. Bella also assisted Kamalei Dwight, a club founder, in making tote bags with drawings of Native Hawaiian birds on them. Many Kula Manu club members contributed to the creation of all of these lovely products!
