Welcome to Science!

I am very excited to be teaching you/your child science this year. I teach both 7th and 8th grade science. Students will have hands on involvement in many different labs, demonstrations, and projects in both grade levels. All of these are designed to actively engage students with the science curriculum. Please take some time to review the course materials posted on these pages. They will provide an overview of the materials covered in the course as well as class rules and expectations. It is vital that we work together to maximize your/your child’s success. Included on this web site is a "survival guide", a list of things you can do at home to support your/your child’s learning.

To help you/your child succeed, I encourage you to closely follow your/your child’s progress on the Parent Portal. Students will have one week after assignment scores are posted in parent/student connect to turn in or revise any missing or poorly done work. After that time has past, that assignment will no longer be accepted. Any missing assignments are counted as zeros. Parent Connect pin codes are available from the school. Please contact the office for more information. All students will also be given their student connect codes so that they can also check their grades at any time. If, after checking parent/student connect you have a concern, please have your student see me for clarification.
