Attending Ceremony Instructions

Start these tasks:

1. Complete the required Promotion Survey and let us know if you will or will not be attending the ceremony.

    *Deadline is March 7th

2. During the ceremony, each promoting 8th grader will have a message and picture projected on the screen as they walk across the stage and we need your help! Send us your learner's pictures and message by completing the appropriate form below. You will receive an email letting you know which ceremony time your learner has been assigned to. Once assigned a ceremony time, fill out the appropriate form:

3. Is your promoting learner interested in performing or giving a speech during the 8th grade promotion?. If so, review the requirements on the "Attending Promoter's Instructions" tab- "Speech and Performance". Learners will need to audition by filling out the form below:

Day of Ceremony Instructions:

• Dress code:  We encourage your learner to dress for a celebratory occasion (no sweats, pajama bottoms, hoodies, etc.).

• All promoting learners attending the 8th Grade Promotion need to attend dress rehearsal. During this time promoting learners will be given important instructions and practice walking across the stage so they are comfortable during the ceremony. Also, the ceremony's host will go to each learner to hear the pronunciation of their name. Promoting learners need to arrive at the following times for dress rehearsal:

  • • • for the 10 am Ceremony, promoting learners need to arrive by 8:45 am

      • for the 1:30 pm Ceremony, promoting learners need to arrive by 12:15 pm 

• NO personal items (including phones) will be allowed on stage by performers or promoters. This will be strongly enforced.
