IJAS Rules for Eligibility
To be considered for nomination, students must participate in either:
An IJAS Regional Exposition (Regions 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 10, or 12)
OR
The IJAS State Exposition
The top 10% of middle school participants at either a qualifying regional or the state exposition will be eligible for nomination.

Throughout March 2025
The top 10% of 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students from Regions 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 10, and 12
may be nominated at their regional fairs.
IJAS State Exposition
May 2-3, 2025
The top 10% of 7th & 8th-grade students not already nominated by their region may be nominated at the State Exposition. IJAS ThermoFisher Nominees at the State Exposition will be announced and honored at the
Awards Ceremony on May 3, 2025, at 5 pm - State Farm Center.
Application to Enter the JIC
Opens February 1, 2025 - Closes June 11, 2025 - 8:00 PM ET

Fill out and submit the application on the 2025 JIC Application Portal.
Top 300 Junior Innovators Announced
September 3, 2025 - 12 PM ET
Top 30 Finalists Announced
September 17, 2025 - 12 PM ET
