What is Ta'aruf Week @KENMS?

Ta'aruf Week is an orientation program for new students at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). Ta'aruf Week @KENMS is a special two-day slot for all new students joining the Kulliyyah of Economics and Management Sciences (KENMS). (Ta'aruf Week schedule)

Why do we have Ta'aruf Week?

Ta'aruf Week is a chance for new students to learn about the vision, missions and aspirations of IIUM and to get to know other students as well as the kulliyyah and department staff members.

Specifically, the Ta'aruf Week aims

To assist new students transition from having a pre-university mindset to having an undergraduate mindset and to embrace university life and the independence that comes with it responsibly (University Readiness)
To help new students feel welcomed and assimilate comfortably into the IIUM environment despite not physically being on campus (IIUM@MyHOME).
To facilitate new students to understand the importance of contributing back to the society and show respect to their environment and surrounding (Responsible Citizen)
To introduce and facilitate new students into having a “SEJAHTERA” mindset and persona
Most importantly, to help new students become a Khalifah who is humble and able to lead the way through Revelation and Reason, insyaAllah.
