ASIAH MALAYSIA WEEK 2022 #AMW

Asiah Malaysia Week 2022 by Mahallah Asiah Representative Committee (MRCs) acknowledged the importance of our national day, Merdeka and Malaysia Day. Through this project, with the main target of all residents of Mahallah Asiah, we conducted programs that can showcase their talents in arts related to Malaysia as the main theme. Thus, we are very positive that this program will be a success as well as benefit all parties especially Mahallah Asiah residents.

The program aims to be the platform for the residents to instil patriotism and love for the country. It also will help in integration and internalisation between the local and international students as they join the programs. Apart from that, the activities that will be conducted will encompass the combination of several aspects such as Intellectual, Cultural and Life. We believe that the students can gain wider knowledge about Malaysia.

ROOT TO SUCCESS #RTS

Root To Success is mainly organized by Mahallah Ali, in collaboration with Mahallah Asiah as we acknowledged the importance of education among the young communities, especially underprivileged students. For this project, with the main target of B40 Students of SK Pulau Kerengga, we wish to conduct an informative and beneficial event contributing to youth development. to increase the interest among the students of SK Pulau Kerengga through practical activities and events that will be conducted based on three main principles which are Intellectual, Sports, and Leadership.

This program, with almost 40 committees who are committed to enhance a transformative learning experience that focuses on critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership skills but mainly focuses on the STEM aspect. This will be achieved through tuition sessions, which will be done by the demonstration of modules and many more ways to make it more interesting than a usual class session in school. As pandemics restrict students from doing physical classes and having limited access to the lab, more practical modules will be involved, such as experiments to increase their understanding of the concepts and the theory.

BUBUR LAMBUK A.R.A.S.H DISTRIBUTION

BUBUR LAMBUK A.R.A.S.H

The program called Bubur Lambuk A.R.A.S.H. by Mahallah Ali, Asiah, Ruqayyah, Siddiq and Hafsa Representative Committee (MRCs) acknowledge the importance of integration among all IIUM communities, especially residents of 5 mahallah. Through this project, with the main target of all residents of these five mahallah, to give out bubur lambuk for the residents of these mahallah, in conjunction with holy month.This program aims to be the platform for the residents to increase the integration among them as well as to promote these five mahallah in the IIUM community. Apart from that, the activities that will be conducted will encompass the combination of several aspects such as Intellectual, Spiritual and Cultural. We believe that having this combination of activities will assist the residents throughout the month of Ramadhan Al-Mubarak, and hope that they can gain all the spiritual benefit and strengthen their “amal” during this blessing month.

IHYA' RAMADAN ASIAH 2022

The Ihya' Ramadan Program is to enhance the beauty of Ramadan to students, to highlights the importance of maximizing the holy month of the Ramadan as well as to strengthen the ukhuwah between the residents. Therefore, the activities held are such as Teraweeh & Moreh, Nuzul Quran Talk, Tadarus Al-Quran and there is also Closing Ceremony at the end of the month.

Since the creation of Covid-19, the Mahallah Asiah Representative Committee (MRC Asiah) has noticed and discovered that IIUM students are less sportive. We provided opportunities for students to demonstrate their athletic abilities in this activity, which has a healthy living focus. We believe that this project which is held at Denai Tiga Puteri, Kota Damansara will help students enhance their sporting skills. This activity has a strong emphasis on group activities, which can help students strengthen brotherhood. This activity will also make use of students' skills in order for them to communicate the value of maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle while studying.

DROP SOME BLOOD

DROP SOME BLOOD

Blood is a constantly circulating fluid that provides nutrition, oxygen, and waste elimination to the body. It is required to save lives from medical-illnesses such as leukaemia, thalassemia and bleeding disorders. As a result, blood donors are real heroes for many patients.

Aware of this situation, Mahallah Asiah in collaboration with National Blood Center, Kuala Lumpur step forward to come with the initiative by having this program. Throughout the program, an overwhelming amount of support from IIUM Students and Staffs who came to become the donors.

ASIAH WOMEN'S WEEK #AWW

Asiah Women’s Week 2022 is meant to appreciate women’s achievements and efforts throughout the year despite living in the communities that surrounded by men. In addition, this program meant to celebrate IIUM 40th anniversary and at the same time to acknowledge women’s talent in various perspective.

In a week, a lot of activities has been planned to accomplish the objectives of the program and we decide to make a hybrid program to give chances for those staying in campus and off campus to join.

MAHALLAH TRAINING FOR TRAINERS (MT4T)

The Mahallah Representative Committee (MRC) of Mahallah Asiah has organized a program called Mahallah Training for Trainers (MT4T) to polish and establish good cooperation between team members which are the MRCs and Block Representatives Committees (BRC). This program was conducted on three consecutive days at Multipurpose Room Asiah and Lagoona Resort Cherating, Pahang. We could vividly remember all the memories there!

This program was conducted under Welfare and Residential Bureau, in conjunction with IIUM 40th Anniversary.

A huge thanks to our illustrator and designer, Sr. Liyana Safiah for the wonderful and conceptual design. On top of that, we would like to say thank you to all the MRCs and BRCs involved for making this Mural Day a success.
