Vinith J
Mr. Vinith joined for Ph.D programme in July 2022. He is recepient of prestegious PMRF & DAAD fellowship. His research work involves fabrication of ultrasound responsive nanomaterials for regeneration of cirrhotic liver. He holds masters and bachelors in the field of biotechnology and also carries research experience from IIT- BHU and IISER-Trivandrum.
M Archana
Ms. Archana joined the Ph.D. programme in July 2023. She is the recipient of the university gold medal in B.Tech and M.Tech and completed her B.Tech in Dairy Technology and M.Tech. in Dairy Chemistry from KVAFSU, Karnataka. Her research work involves developing biodegradable nano-packaging films and nano biosensors for smart food packaging applications.
Arka Sanyal
Mr. Arka joined the Ph.D programme in 2024. He is interested in highly translational work involving the development of nanobiomaterial interfaces for tissue engineering and wound management. Arka holds a B-Tech + M-Tech Dual Degree in Biotechnology from KIIT University, Bhubaneswar. Additionally, he has brief research experiences from CSIR-IICB, Kolkata and IIT Delhi.
Anushikha Ghosh
Ms. Anushikha Ghosh joined our group as a PhD student in July 2024. She has completed her B. Tech M. Tech Dual Degree from the School of Biotechnology, KIIT Deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. She completed her M. Tech dissertation project and worked as a project associate at IIT Delhi. Additionally, she worked as a trainee at CSIR-CCMB, Hyderabad. She is sincerely interested in Tissue Engineering and intends to work in the multidisciplinary field of Nanobiotechnology for Immunomodulation and Tissue Engineering approaches.

Sunil V
He joined our research group in July 2022. He researches fabrication of biosensor for early detection of cancer. As a successful applicant of Khorana program for scholars 2023, he got an opportunity to join Prof. Lia Stanciu's research group at Purdue University for a duration of 3 months. He holds bachelors in biotechnology with brief research stints at clinical labs.
G V N S Manohar
He joined our research group in July 2025. He researches the fabrication of nano-biosensors for food and biomedical applications. He completed his Bachelor's degree in biotechnology from NIT Warangal. Previously, he worked in the IKS project on the Extraction of natural dyes for application in kalamkari art and a trial experiment on Vrikshyaurveda-based bio-pesticide funded by the MoE, India.
M. Tech Students
She joined our group as M.Tech. student in 2025. She has completed her BE with university third rank. Her BE project involved the synthesis of carbon nanoparticles, with the goal of applying them to bioremediation and she is experienced in nanoparticle synthesis and characterization. Currently she is actively exploring fabrication of Hydrogel and elctro-spun scaffolds for regenerative medicine.
She joined our group as an M.Tech. student in 2025. She was awarded the prestigious Khorana Program for Scholars, which provided her the opportunity to join Prof. Babak Anasori’s research group at Purdue University for a three-month research internship. Her research focuses on the synthesis of defective MXene nanosheets and their applications in photocatalytic degradation of antibiotics and biosensing. She completed her B.Tech. in Biotechnology with university fourth rank.
B. Tech Studennts
Neerav is a BTech student passionate about developing smart biomaterials, DNA based nanostructures and nano/micro-robotics for targeted drug/gene delivery, with a specific focus on neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. His research track record includes internships as an E3 Fellow (2025) with Prof. Francesco Stellacci at EPFL, Switzerland, a stint at Purdue University, USA (2023) and a SRFP Fellowship (2024) at JNCASR.
Venu Aravindh joined our group as a B.Tech student in August 2025. He is passionate about biomedical applications for tissue engineering and he is currently working on synthesis of nerve guidance conduit for nerve regeneration . His previous works include synthesis of piezoelectric nanofibre scaffold for tissue regeneration .
Mr. Harish Aravinth joined our group as Btech student in May 2025.His research interests lie in the field of nanomedicine and theranostics, with a focus on designing smart nanocarriers for targeted drug delivery. He is particularly interested in developing ultrasound-responsive nanocarriers for treating brain tumors and cancer, as well as injectable hydrogels for rapid hemostasis.
