I have experience teaching a wide range of courses at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels across different institutions. During my Ph.D. at IIT Bombay, I served as a Teaching Assistant for several MSc courses. I later taught undergraduate and postgraduate statistics courses at the Department of Statistics, Kumaun University. Since January 2018, I have been teaching core and elective courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels at IIT Tirupati, and have also contributed to Ph.D. coursework, refresher programmes, and orientation modules.
My teaching philosophy emphasises conceptual clarity, adaptability to diverse academic backgrounds, and active student engagement. Working with students from varied educational backgrounds has helped me refine my teaching approach to accommodate different learning needs within a single classroom.
I strongly believe in fostering a positive and engaging learning environment. As Richard Feynman famously observed,
āStudents donāt need a perfect teacher. Students need a happy teacherāone who excites them to come to class and grow a love for learning.ā
I strive to nurture curiosity and enthusiasm, going beyond the delivery of information to ignite a genuine interest in the subject.
I am open to delivering short, modular guest lectures from these courses or offering research-led specialised topics for international teaching and academic exchange programmes, depending on the needs of the host institution.
