I am currently serving as an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at IIT Tirupati. I earned my Ph.D. in Statistics from IIT Bombay, M.Sc. from IIT Kharagpur, and B.Sc. from the University of Calcutta. I have also completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at Duke University, USA.
My research interests span generalized linear models, Bayesian inference, biostatistics, dependence modeling using copulas, and spatial and spatio-temporal statistical models. I actively publish in international journals and collaborate on both theoretical and applied statistical problems.
I enjoy teaching and mentoring postgraduate students and have designed and delivered several core statistics courses. I am particularly interested in short-term international teaching and research collaboration, including Erasmus+ staff mobility programmes, with a focus on research-led modular teaching and academic exchange.
Teaching (Postgraduate Level)
I regularly teach postgraduate courses in Probability Theory, Statistical Inference, and Regression Analysis, as well as Statistical Methods for Engineers, Sampling Theory, and Design of Experiments. My teaching emphasizes conceptual clarity, real-data illustrations, and methodological rigour. I am open to delivering short, modular guest lectures from these core courses or offering research-led specialised topics, depending on the academic needs of the host institution. Personal Interests: Music and singing. I occasionally engage in creative pursuits alongside my academic work; a short sample performance is shared below.Â
