Event Details: Cynosure, the annual research day of Department of Mathematics, IIT Ropar, is expected to provide an opportunity for the young researchers to meet and discuss about the latest development in the field of mathematics. The symposium will also provide an opportunity to meet a few top mathematicians of India. The aim of the symposium is to motivate young students and academicians towards research in mathematics and allied areas. 

Abstract: The name "Cynosure" perfectly reflects the essence of this event, symbolizing something that draws attention through its brilliance and allure. Cynosure, the National Symposium on Advances in Mathematics, is the annual research day event organized by the Department of Mathematics at IIT Ropar, providing a dynamic platform for young researchers to explore and discuss the latest advancements in their research areas. This symposium invited research scholars from across India to showcase their research through poster and paper presentations, offering them valuable opportunities to receive insightful feedback from distinguished professors. These interactions served to refine the scholars' work and promote a deeper understanding of their research topics.  Additionally, the symposium provided a unique opportunity to connect with some of the most renowned mathematicians in India, fostering inspiration and motivation for students and academics to explore research in mathematics and related fields.
