Open Positions (2025)

PhD Positions - Our lab has multiple open PhD positions. Applicants do not require any prior skills, but must be interested and enthusiastic to explore areas of synthetic organic reactions and chemical biology. Applicants from underrepresented groups and minorities are strongly encouraged to apply. Please send your CV and a brief statement about your research interests to the PI (kmitra@iitj.ac.in). For selection, candidates must follow the standard PhD recruitment protocols of IITJ.

Project JRF position available: If you are interested to apply, write to the PI (kmitra@iitj.ac.in) with your CV and a brief statement (no more than one page) of prior research experiences. Applicant having research experiences in organic synthesis and/or cell imaging will be given priority, however, this is not a requisite for application. Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed before final selection. Applicants from underrepresented groups and minorities are strongly encouraged to apply.

Postdoctoral Positions - Currently, we don't have any funded postdoctoral positions. If you have your own fellowship or you are interested to apply for NPDF, IITJ PDF or any other PDF, please write to the PI along with your CV and a one-page brief research statement (kmitra@iitj.ac.in). Applicants having any of the following expertise will be favored: 1) organic synthesis, 2) tissue culture, 3) cell imaging and 4) fluorescent sensing.
