Library Policie

1.  Library working hours is morning 08.00 AM to 06.00 PM from Monday to Saturday.

2. Always carry your library membership cards when you visit the library, failing so will forbid your entry to library.

3. Except laptops, loose papers and note books; readers are not allowed to carry their personal belongings (bags, brief-cases, parcels etc.) and eatable items (biscuits,cookies, fruits, chocolates, cold drinks, tea/cpffee ets.) inside the library. Their belongings should be deposited at the property counterroutside of the library entry gate at their own risk.

4. Use of cell phone inside the library is strictly prohibited.

5. Books or other materials taken from the stacks should not be re-shelved by the readers.Don’t try to shelve them yourself. Please leave it on the tables to avoid misfiling.

6. Readers should not deface, mark, cut, mutilate or damage library material in any way.If anyone is found doing so, he/she will be charged with the full replacement cost of damaged material and may lead to suspension of library account and be barred from entering the library.

7. Readers should maintain peace in the library and should not disturb other users in any way.

8. Readers are requested to handle the Library property carefully to avoid damage.

9. Only two book will be issued at the time for each student. For reference book reading identity card must be shown.

10. Reference book such as journals, encyclopedia, survey, research project, year book, atlas, are not provided for home issue.

11. The library is a place for self-study and research; members should maintain an atmosphere of dignity, peace and silence within the library premises.

12. An amount of Rs.5/- per day per book will be charged, including holiday for the books not returned within the specified time. A receipt for the same will be given by the library Staff..

13. In case of book lost, students have to replace the book OR liable to pay the double cost of the book and other applicable charges.

14. At all times, library users will respect prevailing IPR/copyright rules for any library material issued to or downloaded by them. Photocopying of any document cover to cover is prohibited. Users must not install, download, copy, or distribute copyrighted materials without the written permission of the Librarian.

15. Users are not allowed to borrow books on behalf of other users.

16. Book search stations (OPAC) are meant for searching the resources subscribed/purchased by library. Therefore, accessing personal emails, Facebook,chatting etc., are not allowed in the ipad/computer at the cyber lab of the library.

17. Books may be renewed up to 2 times provided there is no reservation against such titles.

18. The Librarian reserve the right to cancel the membership and refuse admission to anyone who violates the rules and regulations of the library or indulges in any other type of misconduct.

19. Suggestions for purchasing books and other materials and improving the library services are welcome.

20. Books should be brought physically for return and renewals.

21. No-dues Certificate : While leaving the institute after completion of the academic course, all students are required to obtain a “No-dues certificate” from the Library in order to ensure that they owe no dues to the Library.
